On behalf of the children, staff and governors, I am delighted to welcome you to the St Nicholas and St Laurence C of E Primary School website.

We are a welcoming, inclusive family school with a strong Christian ethos, a sense of community and a commitment to excellence for all children in our care. We aim to ensure that each one of our children feels safe, and is enthusiastic, secure and confident. We do this by nurturing each child’s uniqueness and responding to individual needs. We want each child to be successful in their learning.

We have tremendously energetic and creative staff that is committed to providing an amazing primary education for all our children. Our aim is to provide a stimulating and motivating learning environment, one that equips and prepares our pupils for the 21st Century. We believe that everyone in school should enjoy their learning and feel proud of their achievements. To fulfil this, we will provide a curriculum which gives equal value to developing children’s academic, social, physical and spiritual understanding. Through fostering a lifelong love of learning, we hope to help our pupils to live a full and happy adult life. We strongly value the relationship we have with our parents and carers and recognise that effective partnerships are essential. We appreciate and value the support our parents and carers give us and the role they play in enriching our children’s experiences and supporting their child’s education.
