Collective Worship

Our Collective Worship team

At St Nicholas and St Laurence, we have a fabulous collective worship team from Year 5 and Year 6 pupils. These young people help to keep our daily collective worships running smoothly by helping to set up, offering technical assistance, running parts of the worship and talking to pupils about how each collective worship could be improved. They have also been brilliant in helping to come up with creative ideas to make our collective worships and bigger celebrations something that everyone feels a part of.

Resurrection Rock Concert

The end of the spring term brought us a huge treat in the Resurrection Rock Concert at St Laurence church, Upwey. The choir, the band and the collective worship team all worked together to produce an incredible show retelling the events of Holy Week. A big thank you to the incredibly talented Mrs Wakefield for putting the concert together and to the congregation at St Laurence church for the lovely refreshments and fundraising raffle. A fantastic evening was had by all those who went.

Easter service

On this final Wednesday before the Easter holidays we were treated to a fantastic Easter service. Our worship groups took a lead role in the retelling of the Easter story while Mrs Wakefield led the choir and the band to bring us some wonderful worship music. We finished by being led in prayers and quiet reflection by Year 4. Happy Easter everyone.
