'Big Me Day' in Year 6

Year 6 had a fantastic day on Friday dressing up as what they aspire to be in the future. We had everything from footballers to plumbers, from aeronautic engineers to authors and midwives. The day was fabulous, we had talks from engineers, a deep sea diver, a solicitor, a podcast producer and a cyber security analyst. The children asked some amazing questions and we have all been thoroughly inspired for the future. A great day.

Year 6 Humanist Visit

Year 6 were extremely fortunate to have a visit from David Warden from the Dorset Humanist Society. He spoke to us about his world view and what it means to him personally to be a humanist. Year 6 asked some really thoughtful questions and found the whole visit to be incredibly interesting.

Our Experience

Ava year 6—I enjoyed going in The Anderson Shelter when rocks were thrown on the roof  everyone covered their ears! I also really enjoyed the laundry room, kitchen and the shop.

Charlie Austin Year 6 - I enjoy learning about WW2 in general because I am really fascinated by it. My favorite part was The Air Raid  Precaution part (ARP) because I got t learn to be an evacuee. It was interesting to see how much food they wouldn’t have got.
