As our Year 6 residential trip to PGL Little Canada on the Isle of Wight approaches, we would like to share some important information regarding our departure and return arrangements.

On Monday morning, children should arrive at school by 7:30am. The coach will be departing promptly at 8:00am, so please ensure that your child arrives on time.

Upon arrival, children should go directly to the school hall, where they will be supervised by staff. Parents and carers will be asked to place luggage directly onto the coach. Any medications must be handed to a member of the Year 6 staff team, and a medication form will need to be completed before departure.

Children should bring a disposable packed lunch for Monday. Please also ensure they have a reusable water bottle, which can be refilled and used throughout the week.

All belongings should be packed in a suitable case that your child can carry independently. A wheeled suitcase is perfectly acceptable. Please ensure that all items are clearly named to help prevent belongings from being misplaced.

Further to the kit list that was sent out before the summer holiday, please ensure that your child brings a pair of shoes that can get wet and swimwear, as these will be required for some of the activities during the week.

We are scheduled to sail from Southampton Docks at approximately 11:00am. We expect to return to school on Friday between 6:30pm and 7:00pm. Should there be any significant changes to our return time, the school will communicate these with parents and carers as soon as possible.

Throughout the week, the Year 6 staff team will endeavour to provide updates where possible. Please be aware that this will depend on our programme of activities and the availability of Wi-Fi.

We are looking forward to an exciting and memorable week with the children, doing amazing activities such as giant swing, dragon boating and Aeroball. In the evenings, there will be a variety of events, finishing with a disco on the final night, in case they would like to bring some sparkle.
